They have over 100 years of experience between them and have worked with thousands of organisations, in many different industry sectors around the world, unravelling customer insights, building Single Customer View systems and implementations of analytics and campaign management tools.


Steve Klin
Chief Executive Officer

Steve needs very little introduction to many in the world of marketing databases, analytics and campaign management. Previously the European Managing Director of smartFOCUS PLC until 2009, Steve joined the board at Blue Sheep LLP in 2010. Along with business partners Iain Lovatt and Neil Thomas, Steve then acquired a marketing automation and analytics technology business. Following this acquisition, in 2013 Steve, Neil and Iain created BlueVenn and brought the business into the umbrella of Blue Group Inc alongside sister company Blue Sheep.



Iain Lovatt

Iain has a wealth of experience in the B2B world of data marketing and customer insight. He regularly speaks at events about the profound ROI benefits of focusing your marketing at the top 20% of profitable customers and is a regular contributor to many data marketing magazines and titles. Iain is a firm believer that less can equal more and that understanding customer inequality is key for business success.

Having held the role of chairman at the IDM Data Council for nearly six years, board member of the DMA Data Council and DMA Board Member, Iain is proactive and passionate about the world of data and Big Data, and an expert in segmentation and customer analysis.



Neil Thomas
Chief Financial Officer

Neil held the position of CFO at smartFOCUS PLC until 2010 overseeing acquisitions, mergers and transitions. His knowledge and experience in the data-marketing world is a huge asset to the business and oversees all financial and legal competencies at Blue Sheep and BlueVenn.

Neil is ACCA qualified and puts in place strategies for growth and restructuring across the Blue Group network.



Mark Jameson
Chief Technical Officer

Mark has overseen the build and implementation of Single Customer View databases for a vast array of clients in both B2B and B2C sectors, many different verticals and industries. With one of the most skilled and knowledgeable minds in the world of data marketing he is a key asset to the Blue Group and guides the vision for new product development across the business.

On top of this Mark pioneered the creation of the UK Business Universe to aggregate B2B data from all the major UK list providers into one universal view of the UK business marketplace. This consolidated view of the UK has provided an unrivalled range of marketing solutions to the B2B market.
